Hotel security director Jonathan Jordan said the fight was captured on security cameras. He told the Associated Press that Stapp was "attacked" by several members of 311 and that it took two security guards to break up the fight.
"It was definitely started by 311," Jordan said. A spokesperson for the Baltimore police department said there was no record of officers responding to the hotel.

I don't care to look anything up, but everything at the time said Scott was drunk, talking shit, when confronted by band members, Scott took a swing, missed (much like in Rollin), and grazed a wife of one of the members. After that, members of 311 held him down and SA broke his hand on him before it was broken up.
- Others have mentioned that the PledgeMusic thing for Mosaic was a disaster. I didn't participate or witness anything firsthand, but there was supposedly a lot of grief surrounding it. I guess it makes more sense for the band to distance itself from that vibe rather than have it directly linked to on the official website during the album hype cycle.
- Specialized forums are just a relic of the Internet's past now. You just don't see those types of boards attached to bands and brands anymore. Social media killed that need. It's actually kind of amazing that the official 311 BB lasted as long as it did, and that's owed to the fans and to Joan and whoever else who helped it defy the odds. Forums make sense to us... but new, younger fans won't understand the need for it or care about it. Centralized communities on Facebook / Reddit / etc are easier to manage, keep organized, and attract way more people. I think I read someone saying this on the BB earlier, that it's preferable to keep the community on Facebook in order to shift accountability. If some crazy shit went down on the BB, the band would have to answer for that. If it went down on the Facebook group, that's Facebook's problem. And the strong 311 community is important to breathe life into the band... but of all the people who attend the tours, 311 Day, the cruise, etc - really only a small percentage of those people still post on the forum, if they ever did. So it does seem like a waste of resources these days to maintain a large forum like that. Joan was ready to quit and that's that. Like DJ alluded to, the band doesn't feel the need to pay anyone to take over.
Oh yeah def. They should at least archive everything. I don't think wayback would be able to reach all of the threads
I could be wrong, but hasn't the BB gone through large wipes in the past? At least everyone's used to losing everything, ha. I'd cry hard if TB were totally wiped
