well they are finally putting a specs in my neck of the woods so i'll get to try the fancy beer you all speak of. The best beer i've ever had was a pumpkin spiced brew served at room temperature at a microbrewery in athens georgia. I cant for the life of me remember the name of the place. I only got to take one sip and my whole body turned warm and it left the most amazing after taste in my mouth.

Not saying that this applies to anybody in this thread, but I think a large majority of people who drink craft beer are just being pretentious. Almost every "craft" beer that I've ever had was wretched. Don't get me wrong, I'll drink any beer if it's free, but I can't see paying 5 times as much for a beer that tastes like shit. The craft beer crowd reminds me of the hipster crowd for music. The more obscure and absurd the better, even if it's terrible.
