Fucking idiot shoots a gun at the ground right next to him. Bullets do some strange stuff sometimes. Just wish this guy would have learned that while filming this.

they make it tough for ya. you're cut off and lonely while you hustle for dough.

except slugs, and shooting the gun at that angle wouldn't put you at any risk of ricochet, according to physics

unless theres a flat rock at a 45 degree angle facing you

no, that was shot at 45 deg, if it hit 45 deg perpendicularly, it'd bounce back from the direction it came -- its essentially the same as shooting something flat straight ahead of you

so you're saying that if i throw a basketball down/forwards at a steep launch ramp it'll go straight up instead of back at me?

now i dont even know what to think!

It would go back at you if you shot it perpendicular... bullet traveling at a 135 degree angle hitting a 45 degree angle... it would go straight up if it hit a 45 degree angle travelling at a 0 degree angle.

lol at your drawing element. You've got it backwards. I don't know what a real bullet would do, but if you throw a bouncy ball perpendicularly at a surface, it comes straight back.

That's true... where does your prediction come from? Have you shot a lot of bullets at similar surfaces?

there clearly wasn't a bullet in the gun.

the force of the bullet would push it up the slope and cause it to fly upwards, but most likely it would flatten the bullet or penetrate the rock, depending on the caliber and type of rock.

this is my hypothesis.

Slug, spread shot, whatever. I did not intent to get technical about firearms.
I have been around guns my whole life. I know people who have done stupid stuff similar to pointing the gun down like this and firing it. Yes, bullets are like bouncing balls. At that rate of speed, little things become massive.
