Bittorent is easy once you get the hang of it.

Just go to http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ and download azureus, which is a bittorrent client. Setup azureus and make sure your firewall isn't blocking it and that the port you choose to use is open. Then go to http://www.isohunt.com or any other torrent site, search for what you want to download, and download the torrent file. Then open the torrent file with azureus, and if you have seeds it should download. Seeds are people who have already downloaded the enitre thing and are uploading only. People who are downloading and uploading but don't have the whole file are called peers. You need at least one seed to complete the download, but you can download part of it with only peers. If you get a NAT problem, go here http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/NAT_problem to try and fix it.

On oink you used to have to keep a certain share ratio, so it was probably that.

i used to be pretty intimidated by them but I figured it out in about in 20 minutes with a little help from Shiny. A lot easier than you think.
