It's hard to make an unbiased judgment, but Nick's voice fucking sucks. The guitars and drums sound like shit. Although from what I've heard so far, it's much better than anything they've put out in the past 10 years.

I don't know what your state law is, but it would behoove your company to have you apply for the position, while at the same time accepting other applications. Just giving someone a position can be harmful for a company and can make them vulnerable to a law suit or fines.
