Re: Talk Talk
One of my favorite bands of all time. The early new wave stuff is fantastic as well. Party's Over is classic and It's My Life has some great songs. Tomorrow's Started is such an incredible slow burner. Spirit of Eden is a bit overrated, but I still enjoy it. I prefer Laughing Stock. After the Flood ...

Re: I have an odd question to ask about the emo/hipster thing...
Baltimore's scene is super hipster, and it's starting to show its age. I can't wrap my head around why it's cool for bros to dress like effeminate K.D Lang clones.

Re: Let's do this again, top 25 FOAT albums.
Mine was off the top of my head but there wasn't much contest. They move around on the list, but it's what I'm the most comfortable with right now. JJ release over Christmas last year, I think it was No3 but I remember not caring for it as much as 2. Two was just so surprising. Africa to Malaga is s...

Re: Have you discovered any new bands lately?
I definitely prefer that era of their stuff a lot more than what they've been doing recently.

Re: Have you discovered any new bands lately?
These guys have been around for a while but they've received a lot of attention after signing to Mogwai's label, Rock Action Records. Their new stuff has more of an electronic influence, but their rooted in math rock/post-rock. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nv1JLMbq6OQ" onclick="window.op...

It serves as a reminder of why I got involved with painting in the first place. It's extremely important to me, and the most powerful painting I've ever had the pleasure of seeing in person.

That JJ album is really great.
Re: Girl Talk
Night Ripper was highly recommended, and so I listened to it, and it was really really bad. So I'm just saying, you know, it sucks.

used to be a huge fan of their first album. The artwork looks like a total rip-off of dark side of the moon.

I don't like this as all. The only thing I can imagine that would be worse would be a Nick Hexum solo album. I do wish there was more of his sound from the blue album on this.

I just self published a catalog and children's book
Have you ever heard of lulu.com? My mother was using a company called mypublisher for several years for self publishing photo albums, but they are a bit pricey and their logo is all over the finished product. I had been working with the Center for the Arts Gallery at Towson University, and the curat...

Re: Dexter Season Premier
what do you think is going to happen next season? The whole show is going to have to completely change in order for it to be plausible that Deb knows without Dexter getting in trouble with the law. I guess since she's in love with him than that will keep her from screwing him over but who knows. Thi...

"Sweet" and "Chill" are totally valid. You have to believe in what you're doing and think its cool in order to create it. I, ultimately, want to make images that I enjoy, and that, hopefully, others can enjoy as well.

This one is a complete abstraction. It's cool because the paper becomes transparent when it's embedded in the resin.

That's not a very nice thing to say. I would never call you an asshole.
