I love Stereolithic so much. I thought a few months on that I'd tire of it or the shininess would wear off. Nope. This is top shelf 311 for me. It's the best album they could possibly make at this stage of their career and I think it sits proudly and comfortably shoulder to shoulder with their best ...

Pearl Jam and Drive By Truckers are two bands I love that are still going strong. I guess DBT are more a 2000's band. I really don't think 311 will stop just yet.

The second half of stereolithic is not only the best second half to a 311 album I'd go as far to say it's the best run on a 311 album. From the Great Divide on is just fucking solid.

I'm not hearing it at all. Totally different tempo and the riff is very different. Even the vocal delivery is very different... the part just after the verse where it says "hold on" reminds me of two drops in the ocean.
